Theresa May & Parveen Hassan CWH
Is Theresa May ready to lead the Conservative Party? George Osborne hailed May with courage today at the ConHome conference for her speech at the Police Federation held recently. It received glowing reviews from party activists and campaigners alike. Fellow colleagues and the media have been quick to jump to praise on her realistic views in the recent confidence in policing matters; take a read:
It was "one of the most incredible speeches delivered by a British politician in peacetime", according to the Telegraph blogger Dan Hodges. http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/danhodges/100272710/theresa-mays-proven-she-has-the-guts-to-take-on-police-federation/
There was commentary from all sides with lukewarm responses:
Is this a start to remind us that Theresa May's approach is one who can lead by example? A serious contender for future leadership bids.
