Priti Patel MP

Member of Parliament for the Witham constituency Priti Patel has joined Witham Town Mayor and the Witham Branch of the Royal British Legion to celebrate the Poppy Appeal 2015 launch at an event in Witham.

The annual Poppy Prom organised by the RBL in Witham marks the start of the campaign to raise money to provide financial, social, political and emotional support to those who have served or who are currently serving in the British Armed Forces, and their dependants. Last year the Witham community raised a tremendous £34,000 towards the appeal.

Priti, a supporter of the Witham RBL said:

“It is a great honour to once again attend the Poppy prom in Witham and help the Legion get this year’s appeal underway. Last year the people of Witham came together and raised a fantastic amount to help those who have served their country and I hope this year the people of Witham will once again show their support to our armed forces past and present.”
