On 16th December 2015, women gathered to celebrate with the Conservatives Women’s Organisation Christmas reception at the Houses of Parliament.

Parveen & Caroline Spelman MP
Pauline Lucas President of CWO, and Nikki, National CWO Chairman were key hosts introducing guests and supporters of CWO including men, MP’s and peers. Liz St.Clair CWO Director of Development was also present networking with the supporters and members.

CWO reminded us all of the work CWO can do to assist women gain further skills in public speaking, communications and considering roles as councillors and women to apply for elected office as PCC's and parliamentary candidates.

The event gave us the opportunity to network over party beverages. It was interesting to see the level of support provided to women and encouragement to consider life in public office from a different perspective in a social setting.

Friends, veteran Conservative members caught up since the election victory and the plans for next year campaigning for the GLA and London Mayor.
MP's Wendy Morton & Helen Grant MP

The female MP's that I manage to see in the crowded gathering were: Caroline Spelman MP, Amanda Solloway MP, Helen Grant MP, and Wendy Morton MP.
