Members of the UK’s heroic Invictus Games team visited Parliament today, and Nus Ghani MP was honoured to meet some of them during their visit.

Attending a reception to welcome them home from Orlando, where the second instalment of the Invictus Games took place earlier this month, MPs had the opportunity to talk to them about their experiences of the Games, and of their reasons for joining the British team.

Ms Ghani said: “What an honour to meet some of our Invictus Games heroes upon their return home from Orlando, where their courage, determination, selflessness and team spirit inspired us so much.

“Their experiences in our Armed Forces are inspiring enough, but the fact that they have taken those experiences and made the best of them through sport and competition, displaying the most incredible camaraderie and shared strength both within and between the teams from all the competing nations, is incredible.

I’m delighted that MPs had the opportunity to meet them, congratulate them and learn from them – they truly are the best of Britain.”
